The main reception hall of the house is entered from the front steps through double entrance doors. The original oak-beamed ceiling remains, along with the polished parquet floor. There are comfortable sofas and tables, a piano and a window-seat. The room is heated by a huge traditional tiled wood stove with a seating ledge round it. On the walls hang hunting trophies and a shooting target.
